On your planning paper, write a little grammar checklist that you can refer back to when planning your photocard: eg. Past, Present, Future, If clause, subj, conditional etc... and this way you can make sure that you have included all the tenses required (can also use this for the writing) . Also, for the surprise photocard questions, you can write on your paper a selection of sentence starters or adjectives- one less thing to worry about when answering the surprise questions!!
