sociology aqa alevel

am i allowed to refer to other topics in a paper that is about another topic?
for example, in paper one (education and research methods) there is a question about how official statistics aren't social facts and i want to refer back to chambliss on the state and law making (crime).
even though this isn't education the question isn't directly asking about education.

Yes you can! My teacher says that examiners like that because it shows that you can think more critically about the question
