One of those thoughts that occurred to me today when doing the weekly shop. On work days I easily get 7-10 portions of fruit/veg a day if I make the effort to eat breakfast, prepare a packed lunch, and cook a proper dinner.
Absolutely! I eat such a number of bananas, potatoes, onions, and sultanas (+ other stuff!!) that I'm sure I get everything! But, wasn't it the case - if I remember correctly what I was told by my GCSE Biology teacher several years ago - that we're supposed to eat eight portions a day? They thought eight sounded too many, though, and that people wouldn't bother, and so they lowered it to five... That's what I was told, anyway!
