Hi, I'm considering applying for Graduate Entry Medicine for 2024 and am looking to gain perspective on my chances of getting onto a GEM course.
This is a significant career change for me - I graduated with a First class degree in Engineering from a Russell Group University in 2018 and have since worked as an Engineer for about 4 years. Unfortunately this means I don't have any medical work experience besides volunteering in a care home for about a year. However, the motivation is definitely there and I plan to gain the relevant medical experience over the summer. I obtained AAB at A-level in Chemistry, Maths and Biology, back in 2014.
Any thoughts on my chances of getting onto a GEM course and which universities might look upon my application favourably?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
