For the question:
'How serious a challenge was factional unrest to Elizabeth's government throughout her reign?' (from June 2014)
which 3 paragraph themes would you be inclined to chose? I was thinking in terms of 1) marriage, 2) Mary queen of Scots, and 3) her later years?

i'd have chosen practically the same examples as you! hope this helps?

1. early years, marriage - eg. cecil & leicester
2. Mary QoS - eg. catholic threat, how succesful were the plots?
3. later years - eg. cecil & essex?
