Looks like a big standard standard user laptop - low RAM, medium hard drive, slow CPU

Will do what you want for now but will age rapidly - ie will feel slow in a year or 2

The real question you should ask is “here’s my budget and what I’ll use it for, what would people recommend that I buy?”

Since it’ll be considered to be primarily used for university and working purposes wouldn’t you consider more storage capacity than the initial 12GB and more RAM perhaps a 16GB, Low in memory speed and processing will decline, have you looked into battery life? Perhaps look into a laptop that can do everything used for everyday use whilst studying at the same time…

Perhaps something like this maybe is not something you need to choose but check it out reasonable and in budget for £520.00 and if your willing for faster speed clear of any virus attacks such as malware add a subscription of Norton 360 or MacAfee and everything should come under £600.00 perhaps £550.00 - £560.00

Haha. Indeed. That would be a good question. :colondollar:

So, I would like a decent speed. I don't the laptop to slow down. What does RAM do? is that memory?

Thanks, as above. I'm basically looking for a decent speed and I don't want a laptop to get slow.
My budget is perhaps maximum 600.

I think then you have something to now consider I would look through the specifications again, have a read of the reviews and I would make a choice I would do a comparison against two other devices but if you feel this happens to be a device that’ll work for you and you’d be willing to spend maybe £550.00 or £560.00 including anti-virus with it then good luck.

Ram computer memory for storage purposes which is also responsible for the running of applications such as programs as well as opening of files.

I see thanks. And that RAM makes the laptop faster, right? It can juggle more stuff?

How does this laptop look? 16GB ... it looks good.

Unfortunately the website link happened to be broken so I can’t access it if you think that has the requirements according to the specifications and I would presume the brand would be HP as that’s clearly a brand in your mind then you should go for it.
