Can’t find a single job

I’ve applied to around 15 jobs in the past few weeks and haven’t heard back from any of them. I really need a job so I can save some money for uni and literally nowhere will take me, I’ve sent my cv to local shops and applied through indeed and other sites and hear nothing back. I heard McDonald’s is good for a first job but the one near me hasn’t been hiring for over a year. Does anyone have any advice? Summer is going to finish soon and I am desperate
