I'm not sure what university you are going to attend but I know most unis have groups on the student room (search the name of your university) as well as accommodation specific group chats. However, most universes have groups on Facebook if you are on there, this is how I found my flatmates and got in touch before move in day.

Just to note that swapping offsite socials isn't permitted on TSR, (this is a safeguarding measure, as some posters are very young), but general advice like the above is fine.
