SQE requirements

Hello all

I'm going into my third and final year at university in September. I want to start the SQE as soon as possible but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to start the exams before I graduate or if I can do both at the same time.

Thanks

I think you are allowed to but that is quite unusual and the biggest issue is which route will mean you can get a qualified job as a solicitor. So eg someone might never attend a law course ever, self study SQE and volunteer at the CAB for 2 years and might qualify but no one might hire them ever; so it then becomes a fairly pointless technical qualification.
Hi! @callumclark117

My advice would be to wrap up your undergraduate degree first because during your postgraduate degree is when you should be preparing for your SQE exams, it is quite a bit of work and so is your final year of undergraduate degree. My advice is focus on your undergraduate till you have completed it and then during your postgrad you can focus on preparing for your SQEs. Good luck .
