From what I can see, it's generally arithmetic. I don't know what's difficult maths means for you, but I very much doubt you would be handling trigonometry, geometry, or advanced calculus anytime soon.

It's to make sure you are capable of calculating the medications/ drugs that you are giving out to the patient.
Example will be if the doctor/consultant said that the patient to get 1000mg of paracetamol and 400mg of ibuprofen then you'll get from the medicine trolley - 2*500mg paracetamol tablets and 1 * 400mg ibuprofen tablet ( if no 400mg then you will need 2*200mg tablets instead) , similar thing when you are giving patient any IV fluids - you have to calculate the speed of flow and adjust it where necessary.
