Why is all the KCL hate from people who don't actually go there?

I see a lot of criticism from student forums towards KCL. It might be disorganised and have some poor administration, but the uni is presented by some people as being totally useless

As a returning student, the teaching quality is fantastic but admin wise, it is quite poor, especially compared to other London unis. But it really isn’t that bad.

Only know 1 person who went to KCL, he seemed pretty fond of it

I think the university gets a lot of hate as while it is technically a part of the "Golden Triangle," students from the other universities within the triangle i.e. UCL/ LSE/ Imperial see it as being relatively more unserious & having a higher offer rate (i.e. 39.3% for KCL compared to 36.2% UCL, 36% Imperial, 12.2%) therefore less prestigious.
It is still a great uni.
Just stereotyped to be the worst of the golden triangle london unis.
