Any job? Or a relevant job? If you're talking about a job in IT, then the chances are 29%.

That's the percentage of Game Design graduates from University of Northampton who were working as "Information technology and telecommunications professionals" 6 months after having graduated. (source)

A total of 73% were employed or in further education.

Edit: Actually, there were also 8% who were in "design occupations". That could have been game design.

Final Year of Game Design student here, if you want a fairly easy 3 years at uni then game design is the right course. As for opportunities after in the games industry, it is EXTREMELY competitive and the salary (at least at the start) is quite bad.
