unused student loan

hi! hope everyone had a good summer.

i was just wondering that if i realise ive taken out too much money than i need for the maintenance loan, am i able to repay back the amount i havent used directly at the end of the year or even earlier with no troubles? or am i stuck with that amount.

thank you !

Why do you think you will have too much maintenance loan? Most students will use all their loan and top up with earnings from part-time jobs. If you do have any spare, pick a good savings account and save for a house deposit, etc.
Some of the worst economic and cost of living conditions ever and you're going to complain about being 'stuck' with money.
As above - put it in a savings account. When you graduate or move out of halls you’ll likely need a deposit for a rental property and new clothes for work and possibly a season ticket for the train/bus or to buy a car.
Lots of future expenses to save for before you plan to repay your student loan.
