Debt

Why is it when you pay a credit card balance in full, ( over £2000) your credit score goes down ?
It doesn’t.

Paying the minimum balance within your credit terms should increase (or maintain) your score.

Hi, well my credit score went down.
I queried it and got a message saying it was to do utilisation of debt?

Then you need to query what “utilisation of debt” means for that credit agency.

Staying within credit terms boosts/maintains your score. Otherwise everyone would have bad ratings.

NB. Lenders don’t just look at the overall score in any case.

Let us know what they say? I agree with you on this and don't get what they are saying!
