NEA Language Investigation A-level

I want to do my NEA on Language and region. My dad is from Newcastle and still speaks to his mum in the Geordie accent but changes his accent to southern when speaking with us (who are from the south). I want to bring in the topics of dialect levelling etc, but I can't think of a question.

Maybe something about code-switching and its importance as a feature of language - particularly with regard to certain communities or as a tool within different relationships
