Yes, all language is a social construct. However, the category of wave lengths that we process as yellow is not totally constructed (i.e. it exists before we percieve it, or is dinstinguishable under measurement*), although no reason why it should be yellow rather than called blue etc.
* I am simplyfying of course and distinguishing people who perceive colours differently outside of the norm, colour blindness etc.

I don’t know about yellow, but “pink” is definitely a social construct. It’s nothing but light red. No reason why it needs its own word.
