If you were to get really good results at A -level ( let’s say A*A*A) but your predicted grades were bad so you don’t go to a good university. But you were able to get a Masters degree in a top university ( e.g UCL) would employers care that you got a bachelors degree at a mid uni?

For which career and studying which subject(s)?

In general employers don’t really care about where you study all that much so the questions isn’t generally relevant.

That may be a field where what you learn on a masters degree may be valuable. I doubt that paying extra for a big name makes any difference unless there is one knock out course or you do maths part 3 at Cambridge.

Most employers dont really care which uni you went to. They re mainly bothered about what qualifications/grades you have got.
