Laptops for engineering

I've just started a degree in mechanical engineering and am looking to get a new laptop. As ill be using this laptop a lot with large programs i know ill need a strong processor and large storage due to the large size of the engineering software. I found the dell xps 15 but as i said im a sutdent and its very expensive. i was wondering if there are any other laptops out there which can do a similair job for less of the cost. all ive found so far is the asus zenbook duo 14 but not sure how good it actually is.
