The Student Room Group

Typical transcript of a Cambridge student?

I applied to Cambridge because in the best case scenario, I will meet the minimum requirements. I didn't have high hopes, and sure enough, I got rejected.

I think my highlights are AP Calc BC, Calc 3 (highschool class), and an interesting personal statement (I think).

The problem is that most of my APs (have score or pending a score) are in Group B, so things like Stats and Music Theory. I don't have biology, chem, or physics. My ACT composite score is 33. My course is PBS, so I didn't have to do the admission test.

What does it actually take to at least get an interview at Cambridge? I'd love to get some insights.

Yes! I’d really appreciate if you’d feel comfortable to give me your aps taken/scores, thank you so much!

Ahh that's why I asked about US, I'm a UK student so not sure I'll be quite as much help regarding the application process. Happy to answer any questions which may still be relevant, though!

Yeah, mainly books I'd read, podcasts I'd listened to, a study I conducted, and also work experience for a week in the psych/neuroscience department at a uni, if that's the sort of thing you mean

I’m a British student and my bare minimum realistically was an average of 8 or higher at GCSE (which is an A*) and A*A*A predicted a at A Level. So realistically you would need the US equivalent of straight A’s and mostly A*’s.
