applying to internships with uk transcript

at uk universities such as oxford or ucl, how are course/module grades shown on a transcript after each year (percentage, letter, etc)?

if i’m applying to internships in the US in the middle of my studies in the UK as a US citizen, will applying for internships in the US be more difficult as prospective employers will think my grades are low since grades with distinction in the UK are typically much lower as a percentage in the US?

this may be the wrong place to get an answer but i had no clue where to ask

FYI I know nothing about US internships.

But, I do know that UCL has a document that you could potentially attach to your transcript that explains the grading. I'd do some more digging/email an admin or check portico to see if there's a more recent/official one transcript insert.

If at another university, they may have something similar and you could maybe email admin regarding a transcript insert.
