Am I allowed to wear a dress in Drama (Trans)

I'm trans (Male to Female) and I'm freaking cuz i don't know if I can wear Gender affirming clothes whilst doing my Drama scripted work (I'm doing Costume and a monologue)

The standard attire for drama students/actors in rehearsal of both sexes is drama blacks eg t shirt and leggings/jogging bottoms as these clothes do not impede your movement and provide a blank canvas for your character. Hair usually tied back off your face and no or minimal make up. Dresses/skirts would be discouraged unless performing a period drama piece in which case a long black practise skirt is sometimes worn.
