DSA- purchasing own insurance (SFW)

Following a needs assessment the advisor suggested I accept an offered laptop but as we have a macbook I'm familiar with I said I'd prefer just to use what I have.

I've received a letter through saying "You'll need to purchase your own warranty / insurance which covers your equipment for the duration of your course as DSA won’t fund repairs or replacement equipment if it’s lost, stolen or damaged."

We're well past the initial 6 months so can't get Applecare which was my first though. Does anyone have any knowledge of what sort of insurance and budget I should be looking at?
