a very stupid question but I'm very confused

so I wanted to ask if the heriot watt Uni in the Scottish Borders campus in Galashiels that does fashion textiles is a university or collage. I've been thinking that it's a uni but i've seen different things so i'm now very confused as i thought it's a uni.

Heriot-Watt University has full degree awarding powers and is recognised as a university by the Scottish Government. (Source)

This applies to all its UK campuses, including its Scottish Borders campus in Galashiels.

Where have you seen an indication that this is not the case? (Specific links or references would be nice!)

Hi!

There's no such thing as a stupid question and to be honest it can all get a little confusing!

Heriot-Watt is a university and we carry that title at all of our campuses across the UK, Dubai and Malaysia so this does include our Galashiels campus. Really the only reason why it is it's own campus is because it's specialises in all our more creative subjects with specific rooms and equipment for this (honestly, it looks really cool! I've never been as I study CompSci at our Edinburgh Campus but I wish I went and checked it out on an open day just to be nosey and have a look around!)

If there's anywhere on our website that makes this confusing please let me know and I'll pass the message along because the last thing we want is to make the process of looking at universities harder than it already is 🙂

I hope this helps and if you have anymore questions please feel free to ask!
