The Student Room Group

does having a learning disability affect Russel groups

does having a learning disability affect your chances to get into the top ten Russel groups? (I have ADHD and dyslexia)
it's true that Russell Group unis take on less students with disabilities than other unis might, but disabled students still make up over 6% of the intake. you should still absolutely give it a shot- if you've got the grades, they're not going to reject you based on any learning difficulties you have 🙂
hope this helps ^^

no problem!
It would be quite literally illegal for them to discriminate against applicants due to protected characteristics. So no, or at least not in the way you seem to be asking. There may however be an attainment gap between students with those conditions and those without, which then may impact the demographics of successful student populations. However the causal relationship between the conditions and admission at those kinds of unis is not what you are implying here, I think.
