Durham additional documents

Does admissions or the faculty check for the additional documents in the portal even if they don't request for you to upload them? Because I feel like adding in extra things such as CV might give me a higher standing and the university a more holistic profile of me

Your application should have had all the relevant information included. It should have been more comprehensive than a CV.

I doubt the university will check any additional documents unless you've been specifically asked for them. A CV is definitely not required.
