How to reference a research study in main body of text- Chicago referencing

I have seen for APA referencing they would do this:

Huang (2007) analysed families of various sizes that receive dibao and the effect of employment on their net income. He concludes that people in large families where nobody works have the least incentive to find a job because they experience the lowest increase in
average net income if the job pays minimum wage.

Surname (year) then state what the research study did.

What is the right way to do this for Chicago referencing and how do I do it if the research study is quoted in a different paper by a different writer, not the original?
