Evaluating, Remembering and reading text

i have to read like 10 - 30 pages each week in university, how can I evaluate / remember so many pages for class

We had to read that per unit. You need to make notes, it's really the only way.

I believe that research has shown that making handwritten notes are better than typing out notes. The other thing is rather than just copy stuff, to start processing / evaluating the info as you make notes. Introductions and conclusions are good places to look for summaries as is mapping to key points from lecture notes. Try to encapsulate what has been relevant and useful from what you have read.
