UCL Statistics Economics and Finance

This course seems to be one of the most competitive ones in UCL... is this due to many people applying just for "finance" and having only Finance or economic personal statements?

Does this skew the statistics as people with only finance/economics ps's get rejected for having no statistics?

Also, if anyone is on the course/ department, how much statistics did you have in your personal statement?
