What’s it like being trans at LSE?

I’ve applied to study Politics and IR at LSE for the academic year beginning in September 2024 (UK domestic student). I haven’t been able to get much information on other trans students experience at LSE. My main questions are:

- does your preferred name appear on emails, class registers etc?
- if you’ve ever changed your legal name whilst at the university, how easy was this and is an enrolled deed poll necessary? I know an unenrolled deed poll is accepted by all government bodies, banks etc, but the LSE website specified an enrolled one for some reason.
- overall, is it a safe and inclusive environment?
