Joining Sports at Uni as a trans women
I started identifying as a woman last September but have not taken HRT or anything medical. I am only out to friends and my mother.
I have an offer to UEA and my friend is already there and is encouraging me to try out for sports when i start in September. I do really want to try out for different competitive sports but i am not really sure how it would work regarding me being trans.
I know Universities are extremely accommodating and safe for trans people but i just feel like it would be awkward say i joined the hockey team and played in the women’s category when i haven’t begun medical treatment so still have a mans body.
