As a student who wants to study medicine, I am aware that my 5 university choice should be something other than medicine and is most likely to be biomedical science. How shall I choose which university to apply for biomedical science for?

You can apply anywhere to any course. If you are sure you would reapply if you got no medical places, you do not need to put anything down, but otherwise, choose a course and place that interests you and could lead to a career you would be happy working in
