International relations and law

I want to be a lawyer but I don’t know if a law degree is genuinely just learning laws. I prefer learning theory and social issues so is international relations-> law conversion better?

Hi,

So there is no right way to go into law and it really depends on what you think you would prefer! I did an English lit degree because I didn't want to study law for three years despite wanting to become a lawyer. All it meant, was that I got to do a degree I knew I would enjoy and then having stayed wanting to become a barrister, I then did a law conversion and now am on the BPC. If you want to study a different undergrad I would do that and then convert but, as I said, there is no right answer so do what feels right 🙂
