3. China 1900 ish - 1976 ish (not clear when we stop needing to know details) - end of Manchu Dynasty, early revolutionaries, GMD/KMT, warlords, Japan-China War, Civil War, beginning of PRC, agricultural & industrial reforms etc...
4. USA Wall Street Crash --> 1970s/80s
