The Cambridge Offer-Holder's Chat Thread 2009-Mk II

I was full of righteous indignation at The Daily Mail in Costa the other day. Apparently a politician from a private school has no right to make moves towards reforming the system. I'm sure that, as a child, they were fully informed and articulate enough to provide a convincing arguement against their parents' intentions. The writing style was so painful as well.

I can never understand how the Mail can even attempt to project that interest in the affairs of the working class agenda that they do, while simultaneously paying writers like Richard Littlejohn to write the reactionary tosh that they do. It's tempting to entirely disregard and ignore it, but when I had my paper round I delivered more Mails than all other papers combined. They've had front page pieces on Prince William's girlfriend today and yesterday, praising her Mum (I'm not sure what for), so I don't know how they can claim to be battling snobbery at all.

I would've thought that someone taught in a private school would be the best sort of person to reform the private schooling system. But oh well, shows what I know.

I signed up for it the other day, but have given no one my new address.

I'm a bit upset it can't just be @gmail.com rather than @googlemail.com
