Scores updated. :p:

*also bump for poll votes, I realize I left it late this time* :colondollar:
Been a while since EH has visited the thread so I think it's safe to suggest Queen again :ninja:

specifically, News Of The World
Okay I'll listen to the album on the day it's posted for once. The Great Eastern by The Delgados coming right up.

The Past That Suits You Best - quiet. But I like it.

Accused of Stealing - nice

American Trilogy - alright

Reasons for Silence - very nice

Thirteen Gliding Principles - nice

No Danger - alright

Aye Today - alright

[didn't notice these two songs start or finish]

Make Your Move - also nicee

hmmm 7.5/10
The Great Eastern - My choice, but I haven't actually listened to anything from The Delgados outside of Hate. :colondollar:

The Past That Suits You Best - As cheerful as ever! :yy:

Accused Of Stealing - Found this a bit jarring.

American Trilogy - Alright.

Reasons For Silence (Ed’s Song) - Pleasant. :yy:

Thirteen Gliding Principles - Unusual, but effective! :yy:

No Danger - Nice. :yy:

Aye Today - Loved this! :yy:

Witness - Great. :yy:

Knowing When To Run - Damn, this might be their darkest song ever! :afraid: This of course means that I like it. :yy:

Make Your Move - Good. :yy:

8/10, figured I'd enjoy their other stuff!

The Delgados - The Great Eastern

Sounded good, didn't pay much attention to the lyrics though. 7/10

R.E.M. - Automatic For The People

Drive - Fantastic start. :yy:

Try Not To Breathe - Very dark. Very good. :yy:

The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite - :yy:

Everybody Hurts - Another 'oh, that song was by this band!' :zomg: moment for me! Love it. :yy:

New Orleans Instrumental No. 1 - Pleasant instrumental.

Sweetness Follows - Nice. :yy:

Monty Got A Raw Deal - Powerful. :yy:

Ignoreland - Fun, for a political protest song! :yy:

Star Me Kitten - Not bad.

Man on the Moon - A classic. :yy:

Nightswimming - Good stuff. :yy:

Find the River - And that's an easy 10/10, fantastic album. :yy:
that reminds me, I did listen to R.E.M and thought it was quite nice. 8/10
News Of The World

It's weird trying to give an assessment on the first two songs because everyone has heard them too damn much to actually think about them. When I listen to the album I usually just skip them. But the outro to We Will Rock You is nice.

Sheer Heart Attack - bit painful around the 2:30 mark but the rest is quite good

All Dead, All Dead - the complete opposite. Still like it though.

Spread Your Wings - quite cheesy, but nice solo

Fight From The Inside - :headbang: some meaty bass

Get Down, Make Love - god this is dirty

Sleeping On The Sidewalk - nice enough

Who Needs You - send this to someone you don't like

It's Late - I love this song. Has been my favourite for a long time. I've always wanted to just ****ing belt out the whole thing but I am very rarely drunk enough. The only problem is that it's a much better closer than the next song!

My Melancholy Blues - nice

8.5/10 which is the same as I gave to Innuendo, the previous Queen album, ngl it didn't deserve it then but it does now.

Bit of trivia: Freddie Mercury hits his lowest (backing vocals of All Dead) and highest (that squeal at the end of It's Late) notes in this album.
News Of The World

Sheer Heart Attack - good, fast music but they should've oiled the doors.

All Dead, All Dead - good but slow.

Spread Your Wings - a bit slow and repetitive.

Fight From The Inside - lovely, gives me some Thin Lizzy vibes.

Get Down, Make Love - alright.

Sleeping On The Sidewalk - really like this one. Really gives you the:  feeling. (Not so much as cold sweat by Thin Lizzy)

Who Needs You - not really my thing.

It's Late - nice but I don't feel @Sinnoh's inclination to cast caution to the wind and let oneself go. I like the tempo change in the middle.

My Melancholy Blues - not my thing.

We Will Rock You - It's overrated but I still like it especially when it gets onto the later guitar parts.

We Are The Champions - not quite my thing but a good song nonetheless.

7/10 some great songs but not my kind of thing on some songs.
News of the World

We Will Rock You - A classic. :yy:

We Are the Champions - As is this! :yy:

Sheer Heart Attack - This was new to me. Very good. :yy:

All Dead, All Dead - Bittersweet. :yy:

Spread Your Wings - Solid, if nothing that special.

Fight from the Inside - Wow. :yy:

Get Down, Make Love - Noice. :yy:

Sleeping on the Sidewalk - :blow: :yy:

Who Needs You - Odd. Had its moments, but overall, nah.

It’s Late - That's more like it! :yy:

My Melancholy Blues - A real change of pace, I like. :yy:

9/10

Against All Authority - The Restoration of Chaos & Order

The Restoration of Chaos & Order - Fantastic. :yy:

Sweet Televised Destruction - Also good! :yy:

All Ages Show Tonight - Fun.

Collecting Scars - Locked down again, indeed! :yy:

Radio Waves - Catchy. :yy:

Silence Is Golden But Duct Tape Is Silver - Decent; starting to sound very samey, though.

Shut It Down - :ditto:

Sunshine Fist Magnet - Good on its own, but better with context. Thanks Genius Lyrics! :yy:

I Just Wanna Start a Circle Pit - Eh.

War Machine Breakdown - Noice. :yy:

Grinding My Life Away - Dark. :yy:

The Production of Self Destruction - More of the same.

Buried Alive - Wow! :yy:

Best Enemy - Okay.

8/10. Sounded good throughout, but not a huge amount of variance.
Against All Authority - The Restoration of Chaos & Order

It certainly feels of its time, I feel like it's the kind of music that would show up on Runescape videos from 2007. I mildly like it, but none of the songs are that memorable and they're all a bit too short to properly develop I think (I think all my favourite songs are quite long actually). Except for Circle Pit, because I swear it's got the same chorus refrain as the classic "Nazi punks f*** off".

Soooo 5/10  I can't get myself into the genre. Though I was surprised to see that Wikipedia calls it "ska punk".
Lorde - Pure Heroine

Tennis Court - This wasn't bad, actually! :yy:

400 Lux - Good. :yy: So it's scoring at least as much from me as Melodrama did, at 2/10!

Royals - Fine. Not really my thing.

Ribs - Liked this. :yy:

Buzzcut Season - Best so far. :yy:

Team - NOPE. Just noise.

Glory and Gore - Nah.

Still Sane - Meh. Too slow.

White Teeth Teens - Alright.

A World Alone - Not quite.

I went in with low expectations, surprisingly enjoyed the first half, but then it reverted to 'forgettable background music'. 4/10

I kept trying to do a summary of each song but my phone kept refreshing so here's a brief summary of the whole thing:
The title track, war machine break down and silence is golden are the best tracks. Most of the album is superb but I don't agree with the brass elements so I'll give it a 9/10.
