There is one Nightwish song I've listened to and it's because of this specific runescape video from 2006: https://youtu.be/b0y2huQoOnw

Sounds trivial, but in 2016 Jagex did a 10-year anniversary event for this glitch where they recreated the song used in the video with the in-game soundfont: https://youtu.be/uiWdfHHSngw
Also a quick recap of my favourite discoveries from this thread, in no order:

John Martyn - One World

Jeff Buckley - Grace

(The) Sweet - Desolation Boulevard

Billy Joel - The Stranger

Talking Heads - Remain In Light

I know Led Zeppelin II was the first 10/10 I gave to an album I hadn't heard before, but I've barely listened to it at all since then so I can only assume I was in a very good mood when I gave that score.

Nice to see a couple of my suggestions up there! My top five discoveries would probably be (again, no special order):

Gregory Porter - Take Me to the Alley

Muse - Black Holes & Revelations

Fountains Of Wayne - Welcome Interstate Managers

Peggy Lee - Black Coffee

And possibly Nightwish - Dark Passion Play, though that could just be because it's fresh in my memory.
For me, it's probably

Bowling for Soup - A Hangover you don't deserve

The Smiths - The Queen is Dead

Sports Team - Deep Down Happy

Jeff Buckley - Grace

and either The Dark Side of the Moon or Ziggy Stardust, and I'm pretty sure I rated most of those 7 (not that that should cast doubt on any of my ratings, of course)
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play

I'll go with a 10/10, one of my favourite albums. Some nice variety in style and overall a really enjoyable (if somewhat intense) experience. :yy:
Red Hot Chili Peppers

By the Way - Legendary. :yy: Amazing to think this song is almost 20 years old now. I feel old.

Universally Speaking - That chorus! :yy:

This Is the Place - Great lyrics. :yy:

Dosed - Love it. :yy:

Don’t Forget Me - Decent.

The Zephyr Song - Relaxing. :yy:

Can’t Stop - The album's other classic. :yy: If there is a meaning to the lyrics, I don't want to know it.

I Could Die for You - Cute.

Midnight - Solid.

Throw Away Your Television - The one I used to skip when I was younger... don't know why, it's not bad! Really interesting instrumentals.

Cabron - This one, I'm glad I can finally look up the meaning of the lyrics for! :ms: Always liked the sound even without context; still do. :yy:

Tear - Nice.

On Mercury - Catchy! :yy:

Minor Thing - One my faves. :yy:

Warm Tape - YES. :coma: :yy:

Venice Queen - Another that's better with context.

It's been far too long since I've listened to this; still a 10/10.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way

Really liked this, 9/10. Didn't recognise a lot of it, either.
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly

Wesley’s Theory - Oh dear. It's going to be a long 79 minutes!

For Free? (Interlude) - Variations on 3-4 swear words, with some pleasant jazz in the background.

King Kunta -

Institutionalized - Slow, explicit, monotonous.

These Walls - Better, relatively speaking? :yy:

u - Had its moments.

Alright - :ditto: Liked the spoken outro, just not the rest.

For Sale? (Interlude) - Not the worst.

Momma - Couldn't hold my attention.

Hood Politics - Boo boo.

How Much a Dollar Cost - Not bad at all. :yy:

Complexion (A Zulu Love) - Nice message. :yy:

The Blacker the Berry - I might actually be starting to like this? :zomg: :yy:

You Ain’t Gotta Lie (Momma Said) - ...maybe not. :p:

i - Liked the first half.

Mortal Man - Bit long.

4/10. Still not my genre. :colondollar:
By The Way
First time intentionally listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, but I know it features quite a bit on one of my friend's playlists.

By The Way - didn't recognise the in-between parts. Good song.

Universally Speaking - nice.

This Is the Place - alright

Dosed - missed this one but liked it at first

Don't Forget Me - definitely like this one

The Zephyr Song - and this one!

Can't Stop - iconic riff

I Could Die For You - alright

Midnight - the intro wrote cheques the rest of it did not cash

Throw Away Your Television - good

Cabron - ok.

Tear - good

On Mercury - quite good

Minor Thing - also quite good

Warm Tape - nice. Really running out of short reviews to give.

Venice Queen - very good!

hmmmmm... 7.5/10. Bit too long, some very nice songs in there though.

LMFAO - Party Rock

Requesting new recommendations, as this is the last we currently have, unless I've missed any! I'm dipping further into my early 2000s nostalgia, and adding Evanescence - Fallen.
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

I've listened to this before but I've given it (well, half of it) another go - it's too explicit and I'm not a huge fan of the style most of the time. A couple good towards the end though. 4/10
LMFAO - Party Rock

Rock the Beat - Short intro track. Not sure if this is going to be my thing...

I’m in Miami Beach - Nope!

Get Crazy - Too cheesy for lactose intolerant old me. :colondollar:

Lil’ Hipster Girl - :yucky:

La La La - Okay, this was cute. :yy:

What Happens at the Party - Chorus was fun. The rest, not so much.

Leaving U 4 the Groove - More like it! :yy:

I Don’t Wanna Be -

Shots - I'm teetotal. :dontknow:

Bounce - Lewd!

I Shake, I Move - Meh.

I Am Not a Whore - Liked this one! :yy:

Yes - No.

Scream My Name - Not bad at all. :yy:

Another 4/10 from me.
Adding Kalafina - Seventh Heaven so that the list isn't empty. :tumble:
LMFAO - Party Rock

I'll give this an 8/10 to even it out, it's fun, upbeat (and possibly a bit nostalgic) :yy:
I'll recommend Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum by Tally Hall and All the Lost Souls by James Blunt
