as to original question, go in regularly, start small, quick conversations about simple things at first (weather, your/her day, etc) create familiarity, once that is achieved move onto bigger things

You could ask using something witty, about asking her out for a coffee and she works in a coffee shop. I haven't had a moment of genius to work out the exact line but being funny is the idea.
