Hi guys, recently I have received my results for my ISA resit. Unfortunately, I only got a low A, 29/40. I am extremely disappointed as I am desperate for an a*. Can someone tell me what UMS points this is? And also how many times can you resit an ISA. And finally, can I still get an a* overall, considering that i have 93 UMS in Chem unit 1, thank you.
is this AQA? If so the school should only "cash in" your isa when they have to, and will only send in one for each GCSE (so 1 single, 1 double, or 1 bio, 1 chem, 1 phys). This means you can do as many ISAs as your teachers have time for, only the best one gets sent off.
you need at least 36/40 on the ISA+PSA to get an A*. so that's 30 on the paper assuming you have a PSA of 6.
Without re-sitting you'll have to average ~100UMS in the remaining 2 modules to get an A*
I think u can do 3 ISAs. In my school you can do 3in year 10 and then 3 in year 11 for each science..but I'm doing triple science. I would ask your teacher about where you lost marks.

As is AQA you only need 1 ISA for each science GCSE, that's 6 ISAs per subject.
The AQA specification gives no limit to the number of ISA pieces that can be performed, only the best is submitted anyway!
in my school we do aqa isa as many times we want until we get the grade, but not more than 3 times it depends on your school so talk to the head of science
