I have read this thread and nobody seems to have an interview later than Jan 29th. Mine is Jan 15th and I'm currently in Australia on a gap year. I want the latest date possible as I've not heard from my other schools and will have to travel back. Does anybody know when the interview period ends?

Thanks!
Hey guys. How is everyone's interview prep going? I have no idea how to start answering some of these questions

Heyy the last interview date for HYMS is the 29th January (they told us this in the acknowledgment email).

I was offered an interview for 16th Decemeber but got mine rescheduled to the 5th January due to work commitments. Considering your situation, they'll be happy to reschedule you if you email them explaining your situation =)

I reckon mine will go south. Not enough prep about their course and the abstract questions....
They were certainly right about bringing outdoor clothes and shoes - York hit -18 last night apparently!

Thanks for the info, I've only had an email (I'm not at home to pick up the post) so I had no idea. Its not a great result that they don't interview in Feb, but I suppose I'd better book some flights! Good luck with yours!

What would you say to the question:
How would you feel if a patient died due to your mistake? (Hardest Medical School question if you ask me).

i would say 'i would feel devastated and very guilty, but would try my best to learn from my mistakes and move on, putting it all into experience that help develop me as a person and a doctor. and ofc learn never to do that again'
