Did you get your offer by email?

I thought Queens college weren't posting offers until today which means we'd get them tomorrow

Congratulations to both of you: all fantastic choices with regard to College and course (although I would say that). Let me just say that you've got plenty to work for (and hopefully look forward too)!
I'm in the mood for thinking about the practicalities of going to cambridge, I got an offer at queens. Will I need to buy a robe or anything else expensive (cambridge specific) as If I do I will need to save up.

I think Queens do the formal hall but not sure if they do the robes

You probably will need to buy a gown, if not for formal hall but definitely for matriculation; generally speaking this comes in at around £35, although you can get them second-hand at certain colleges. Not sure about whether this is true for Queen's, I'm afraid...
