What do you think?

Are you considering a career in surgery or otherwise?
And why?

Let's ask the people who's lives are saved by surgery, shall we? Just because surgery uses sharp objects and involves cutting like butchery does, doesn't make them the same. And if it saves lives, I think I wouldn't really be hung up on the fact that 'surgeons remind me of butchers'

If they are, they are pretty bloody skilled ones tbh.

At this stage (3rd year...clearly Im open to change) I think Id rather go into the physician side of things, maybe cardiology or respiratory medicine.

I thought butchering was generally seen as a brash process myself. Surgery is anything but brash imo. It can take many hours, and the end result can turn out as a work of art, which can be seen in even the finest detail- such as stitches. I see surgical work as precise with beautifull execution and a clear design and purpose of a beneficial intent... to save (or improve) a life.

i had a operation when i was around 5 year old to have a coclear implant, if i didn't have this operation then my life would be extremely different. Surgeons aren't butchers, they're doctors who uses knives to help safe lives.
