That somebody else is probably trying to scare you. As long as it isn't a rejection, everything else is possible...chin up

Feel like this is a really stupid question but I've not really been given a straight answer from other people I've asked... if a university decides it doesn't want to interview you will they notify you with a 'rejection' or will they just not contact you at all?

Reading on ethics because for Dentistry, that is quite important. Reading on any new advancements in the dental field...also in the NHS. Make sure you can expand on everything in your PS. And then the obvious questions to do with Dentistry (which I have not yet been through either so cannot say much about) :/

Anything else?

THIS IS THE DENTISTRY FORUM

I thought I'd make this thread so people can keep track of which universities have started giving out offers/rejections/confirmations etc. I'll try to keep checking it and updating this message below.

***IMPORTANT*** Just because a university has started giving offers DOES NOT mean you have definitely been rejected - many unis give out offers/rejections in batches.

Hope this is helpful - I'm stressing out so much that I thought this may put people's minds at rest slighty!

Good luck with your applications everyone, and please post in here if you hear anything at all from any of your unis

And please remember to update the Dental Applicants Stalking Page as well

I also read somewhere something possibly like... 'Should someone on severe medication/regular intensive treatment be allowed to practice Dentistry?'

In a situation where dentist and patient have an interest conflict...what to do? E.g. Dentist recommends treatment that is perhaps necessary, patient refuses...

Is it okay to tell a white lie if it gets the job done? Should patients be treated as 'a means to an end?'

Importance of informed consent (veracity), non-maleficence, justice for all, confidentiality, always being beneficent...

There are specific ethics theories too...but not looked at that yet.

Okay so writing this is freaking me out...I just discovered some of this five minutes ago...makes you wonder how much more there is! O.O
