Medicine Applications for 2024 entry

Hi guys, i am going chemistry ,biology and Philosophy A-level. Do you think this is appropriate for medical school? Will my application be considered equally as opposed to someone who is studying three math and science A-levels ?

Hi!
I studied chemistry, biology and english literature at A level- finished in 2022.
Applied for dentistry this year and have received 3/4 interviews (havent heard back post interview yet).
As long as you study chemistry and biology the third a level doesnt matter at all
What matters is that you have 3 A predictions and a good ucat score

Thank you so much

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of volunteering and work experience did you do for dentistry?

I volunteered at a vaccine centre for the better half of a year (although I think a care home would work just aswell)
I had 5 days of work experience in total, 2 with an endodontist and 3 in a general practice. I think this provided me with enough insight into dentistry however, I read articles to help boost my personal statement.
I think having a good set of extracurricular activities defo helped

Hi!! I’m doing English lit, bio and chem
I have got 2 As in both bio and literature and a B in chemistry for my end of year 12 mocks
Any tips for getting higher marks in chem??
Especially organic!!
I am going to be retested in chem this September which if I ace (🤞🏽) I could get predicted an A* for chem
I want to do both BMAT & UCAT, does anyone have any tips for both and for both revision and time management
Thanks!!!

Lancaster University only requires having both chemistry and biology, so the grade requirements would be AAA. It does not matter what the third subject is.

Hello,

I was wondering what universities I could possibly apply to. I’m not sure if it is still a possibility for me.

My predicted grades are :A*A*A*
My GCSE’s:
9chem
9physics
8bio
9english lit
8english lang
8history
7 maths
7r and p
7 Spanish
6drama

My UCAT score was quite low,
2400
