Can you link some pictures about the first year accommodations?
Are all of the on-site? Does Trinity require STEP before the application to invite to the interview?

The big Cbridge thread moves too quickly to follow so I wanted something a wee bit smaller to see who else is out there! (hope it doesn't get closed)

I'm Caitlin from Northern Ireland applying for Pol/IR through HSPS  my interviews are on the 4th December and I'll be at Trin the night before as well

Anybody else?

I might bump into you! My best friend is applying for Arabic and Economics, not to Cambridge though, what are you applying for? I am so so nervous I am fully expecting to leave the interview room in tears

Yup, you surely will! Arabic and German ! Preparing for an Arts subject interview is such a daunting task, there is soo much to read and research. Knowledge is unlimited but my memory's storing capacity, unfortunately, is not.
I am spending Monday night in a hotel as I could only get acc for one night.

I know! As a Politics applicant, its like just revise everything that's happening and has ever happened in the whole world. Great.

I arrive in Cambridge on Monday afternoon and my interviews are on Tuesday so I'm in Trin on Monday night  where are you coming from?

Well, I am also expected to have read a lot on the Arabic culture, so here I am, struggling with Hourani's book on history of the Arabic peoples. And with all the changes in the Middle East, it couldn't go worse... I hope there is not going to be any debate regarding all the Gaza conflicts. I mean, they are too controversial for me to have an objective opinion on them during such an important interview. :s-smilie:

I am coming from Romania, Transylvania if that rings any bell  I am leaving veery early on Tuesday morning so bumping into each other might get tricky.

Haha a lot further than me then! We might see each other on the Monday afternoon but good luck if I don't! I know one of my interviewers specialises in middle eastern politics so I'm desperately trying to keep on top of it :l
Well, I think it is wiser to wish each other good luck as I am having my interviews on Monday afternoon, the last one being scheduled at 16.15.

I am more into linguistics than politics and IR but, rereading them, I realised that my PS and essays say exactly the opposite. My German interviewer specialises in the history of death, now that's an interesting topic I would LOATHE to discuss at interview...
