Maths mei c2: Convergence and divergence

Anyone know what the difference between convergent and divergent sequences is?

It's a point on the spec and I have no idea what it is

Surely it's clear from the defintion?

Convergent means it eventually sums to a finite number, divergent doesn't.

An example of a convergent series would be 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + ..... + 1/n + ..... which sums to 2.

A divergent series would be 1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + .... + 1/n + ..... which does NOT sum to a finite number.
