Unit Module Session 100' 90' 80' 70' 60' 50' 40'

6677 M1 Jun-13 68 62.0 56 50 44 38 32

So for example for these boundaries I know that

70% is 50

80% is 56

90% is 62

100% is 68

Spoiler

Is this right? Is the conversion factor correct?

Why would you believe that this is from 2013?

That's an old article.

I've shown this on the grade boundary thread but you can say
70% is 44
80% is 49
90% is therefore 49 + (49-44) = 54
100% is 59.

Btw, the OCR 100% raw mark column isn't the 100% UMS boundaries, they are just showing the theoretical maximum mark in each unit.

So for FP1, the A boundary is 64/72 and B is 57. So the 90 UMS boundary is 71 and the 100 UMS boundary is 72?!?! If I get 71 I'm going to be so hacked off!!

10 UMS for 1 mark, thats utterly ridiculous.

"Education secretary Estelle Morris"

You'd of thought with all the hate towards Michael Gove, people would know his job title.

economics...

Ok, I was just checking, as that's a Chemistry grade boundary as well! (sorry)

What does UMS mean? I'm looking at OCR, and it says MAX = 100. UMS = 70. Please can somebody explain??

It probably means there are 100 raw marks, which translates to 70/400 of your A-Level.

That article is clearly incredibly old. I expect it's from 2002.

Edexcel's won't be released until midnight. https://twitter.com/EdexcelStudents/status/367313145767153664
so does this mean that those maths edexcel grade boundries aren't from edexcel and are completely wrong!!

Why aren't the edexcel grade boundaries out yet? They're like 10 hours late :frown:
I'm cacking it for results.. my reduced offer due to a BTEC i did before A Levels just seems too easy.. 300 course, 100 BTEC, 20 AS Dance and 40 EPQ so I only need 140 points.. but it just seems too good to be true >.<

If you have read my grade boundaries thread (http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2312329) then you will know it doesn't work like that.

The A boundary is 64 and the 100% is 72, so* it will scale linearly from A to 100%. So the 90 boundary is 68 (the halfway point).

* - because twice the difference between the A and the B is greater than the difference between the A and 100%
