So what you're trying to say is that me encountering 4 noisy housemates who were black compared to around 80 white people who weren't....isn't a bit fishy and says absolutely nothing?

What I am saying is that 5 people compared to the millions of people you have not met is not something to base a generalisation on. That it is statistically unlikely that those 5 people represent the million other people who are black who you have yet to meet.

I am saying that it is not only statistically unlikely but that generalisations are also harmful and that each person should be seen as an individual and not a race which you have generalised.

Can't argue with experience, I've lived with near a hundred people in my time. Most being white and probably about five being black. All five owned bass speakers individually and would lie or get offended if I asked them to keep it down.

Just to clarify...because you think it dull your opinion is that ICT should not be a subject in school? Many people find art and music dull subjects and not particularly useful but I doubt from your first thread you'd be okay with them getting rid of those subject. And to make it clear I don't think art of music should be cut from the curriculum, though I may dislike the subjects I see how they can be useful for some student and therefore don't think my opinion should impact on the education of others.

Also if you didn't want any replies or to be asked questions about your opinions then you clearly didn't think it through before posting in the first place.

It was still a strong statement to make, judging a race on five people, to be perfectly honest with you. It's rather ignorant and offensive that you're bringing up people with similar problems. That's still a minority. The fact that you are saying it as a matter of a fact thing just shows how narrow minded you are after meeting a few black people. The problem with random sampling? It doesn't take every person into account.
