Erm, I don't support any party's ideology (not that UK politics is so heavily ideology based imo) but I'd vote tory in the general election, how about you?
Edit: yes, statistics on social science courses are watered down because you are not expected to have the mathematical knowldge upon enrolling for them in this country. I imagine there may not be a need to be fully proficient instatistics in some social science degrees, just like law students are not expected to have the depth of knowledge on criminal justice and philosophy compared to students who studied those subjects as their sole subject.
