Smart from Van Gaal tbh, what's the odds that Krul has been practicing saving penalties all week in training, also he has a massive reach since he is like 6 foot 5. He dived the right way for every penalty, saved 2, narrowly missed the rest which were good pens.

Not sure about that really, they really rode their luck at times in the game, you can't say Netherlands didn't deserve to go through on the basis of play, they created far more and looked far more likely to score. Costa Rica defended well and Navas had a great game, but they were somewhat fortunate to even make extra time, let alone penalties.
Costa Rica have come up against Rooney, Suarez, Cavani, Balotelli, Robben, RVP & Huntelaar & conceded just one goal. Wow.

Costa Rica conceded a goal to Greece just before the end of 90 minutes to bring it to extra time remember He has conceded 2 in 5 games everyone seems to have forgot that.

That's how Real operate, there was nothing wrong with Robben or Sneijder when they were dumped either, they just run a Galaticos circus. One of these days Di Maria or Benzema will find themselves transfer listed too.
