Anyone know if Borehamwood v Arsenal game is going to be televised?

I don't think so. Will probably be on the Arsenal Player a couple hours after though.

Wenger spending £90-£100m in one window?

Well that won't happen, but just pointing out that even though spending £30m on Sanchez sounds like big chips for Arsenal, we could do that over and over again.

A net spent thus far in the window of £20m is really **** all.

I was referring to this:
What will AW actually do? Probably what you've said. Another big name player for £35m-£45m, either at CM or ST, a young promising CB from Ligue 1, and a GK for £5m or so or even on loan again.

So £90-100m gross, is that realistic?
Why don't Arsenal get Ochoa?

He's a free agent and he clearly has quality.

I think it's possible yeah. The money is there and Wenger seems like a different man these days now we're out of the new stadium era. and as I say because of Cesc/Vela it would be £20m less net.
Probably more likely to be just another £40m though in truth given that it'll be probably just a DM and a relatively cheap striker that we'll sign.

He would hinder Chesney's development by being better than him

CB? Even if Vermaelen stays, Sagna is gone and you surely won't be so lucky with injuries this year.
Really quite interesting how we're buying players. It seems to be like some 90's/early 2000's throwback lately.

Bergkamp = Ozil
Pires = Alexis Sanchez

Think our CB luck was more than countered by the annihilation in midfield tbf mate! :laugh: But fair point, we could definitely use another CB given that Sagna was also an option there while Debuchy aint.

Koscielny and Mertesacker arent going to be broken up though so I cant see us signing a superstar CB even if Vermaelen leaves. Not that there are many top CBs for sale in a market where David Luiz is £50m! Probably sign some young CB from Ligue 1 as a longer term project.

If I had to bet then I'd be looking at either a big DM like Javi Martinez, or another winger like Di Maria if the twitter itks are to believed that another worldie is on the cards.

meh, Szczesny never gets any respect even though he is perfectly solid and improves every year.
He's cocky and since he's an Arsenal player too, people will just keep saying he's not good enough even though he keeps doing the biz. :rolleyes:

Bergkamp wasnt that similar to Ozil tbh. Bergkamp was definitely more of a 2nd striker than a 10 and was capable of playing as a target man as well whereas Ozil is more of an all round playmaker. Probably if DB was on the market now as a 25 year old, he'd be going for £75m odd.

Sanchez is also nothing like Pires really. Sanchez is more like Ljungberg.

Javi Martinez in your midfield :coma: Surely no chance of him leaving Bayern though... and Di Maria would be overkill on the wings. Should buy Cavani :tongue:

We'll carry these on somewhere else to avoid being off topic haha

With Martinez we could win the title tbh. Imagine Martinez, Ramsey and Ozil with Sanchez in there as well, you're talking absolute top drawer here. I can actually see Guardiola letting him go since he seems to have a vendetta against using him properly, but other teams would be in as well. No real speculation either so it's all just wishful thinking. Maybe AW has been in for Vidal all along, him and Sanchez as our Chileans :moon:

Di Maria would just make things silly. Cazorla could **** off though is that one materialised !

That's not a problem though, we should still go for it but Wenger won't due to loyalty to Ches. What you said is going to happen at City, Caballero is better than Hart.

I reckon we can scrape through with three CBs though. I wish Javi Martinez was still at Bilbao, would be the perfect player for us tbf, highly doubt we'll nab him from Bayern, they don't have another specialist DM in their squad.

Arsenal fans, I am putting together my fantasy league team and was wondering what position Sanchez will play. Will he play up top as a lone striker replacing Giroud of will be play on the right alongside Ozil and a left winger?
